2022-24 NEDA Board of Directors application process is now open

The National End-of-Life Doula Alliance is seeking new board members to serve a two-year term from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2024. The deadline for submitting the application below is July 31, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Interviews will be conducted between August 8 - 12 via zoom. If selected, you are expected to attend a board retreat on October 13, 2022. Details about the retreat including the onsite location, time, etc. will be determined by the end of July. The on boarding process for new Board members will begin in September.

Serving on the board of a non-profit can be a very rewarding experience. We hope you will consider this carefully. NEDA is a new organization and has some exciting and ground-breaking work to do. We are looking for a wide variety of skills, from strategic planning to social media to communications. You need not be an end-of-life doula to apply yet you must be a current NEDA member (doula, doula trainer, or doula/trainer combo membership). We are especially looking for those who can devote time and effort to building this organization and who have a good grasp of what it means to be on a non-profit board. This is a working board of volunteers who are expected to attend all meetings and regularly do work on their own in between meeting times. All meetings take place on-line in our Zoom.us virtual meeting room.

Below you will find the application, board of director expectations, more detailed job descriptions, and NEDA's bylaws. If you have any questions, please contact us at NEDAapplications@gmail.com. We are excited to hear from you!
