Membership Applications

Welcome! Thank you for considering becoming a member of NEDA to both strengthen your practice, support other end-of-life doulas, and more generally support NEDA's mission, vision, and values. The National End-of-Life Doula Alliance is a membership organization that supports all doulas who are eager to share in this important work. We offer several different levels of membership that include: End-of-life Doula, Doula Trainer, Doula/Trainer Combo, as well as, Friend/Supporter, and Corporate/Organization.

It is our intention to tailor membership levels to meet each individual's needs and talents, and to provide benefits that have lasting value. Above all, we hope to provide a place where we can build a community of practice that respects and connects all those who support our mission, vision, and values.


Members who join at the End-of-Life Doula, Doula Trainer, andDoula/Trainer Combo levels enjoy the following standard benefits:
  • Listing in the appropriate NEDA Membership Directory on the website
  • Our monthly newsletter
  • Member-only informative webinars
  • Member logo for your written materials
  • Our regular social media posts (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram)
  • Access to NEDA's closed members-only Facebook group where monthly webinars are located 
  • Access to take the NEDA Proficiency and/or the After-Death Care Proficiency Assessments (additional fees)
  • Satisfaction in knowing that you are supporting this growing field of practice
  • And much more.

Friend/Supporter and Corporation/Organization level members receive the monthly NEDA newsletter and listing in the appropriate NEDA Directory on the website.

Please do the following:
  1. Read our Mission, Vision, and Values
  2. Read our Scope of Practice
  3. Review the membership levels in the table below..
  4. Click on the title of the membership type (on the left hand side in blue) that best applies to you; complete the application form and make your payment. Your information will be added to the appropriate directory (if you wish to be listed) within 3 business days. 
  5. Your membership will be automatically renewed annually (unless you cancel) using the credit card number provided on your initial sign-up. To cancel your membership, email [email protected]​​ ​

​NEDA'S REFUND POLICY

NEDA understands that circumstances may necessitate a member wanting to cancel their membership, move to a different membership level, or use a new credit card for renewals.

A courtesy email is sent a month prior to renewal enabling members to cancel their membership or make changes before their renewal date without incurring additional charges
.

Should a member request a refund, NEDA will provide a full refund minus a 3% processing fee for all cancellation requests (or use of another credit card) made on the day of or within 10 days after the renewal date. After that, membership renewals are non-refundable. This will also apply to new memberships.

Open to anyone who self-identifies as an EOLD, either volunteer or paid, regardless of training and experience

  • Listing in the EOLD Directory with name, location (one state and country), email, phone, website, photo
  • Listing also includes professional degree letters ( ie, BA, RN, PhD, DD, SW, etc.) Please note: EOLD or CEOLD are not added as there is no national certification or professional credential.
  • Discounts on events and other NEDA networking opportunities when available
  • Access to a private Facebook page where monthly member-only webinars are located
  • ​Ability to take the optional Proficiency Assessments
Doula Trainer
Open to those who train others to become End of Life Doulas
$75
  • Listing in the Trainer Directory with name, location (one state and country), email, phone, website, photo, and NEDA Proficient, if applicable
  • Listing of training program details you provide to others and credentials (total of 360 characters)
  • Discounts on events and other NEDA offerings when available
  • ​​Ability to take the optional Proficiency Assessments
Doula/Trainer Combo
Open to Doula Trainers who also practice as an EOLD
$100
  • Includes all the benefits of both individual and doula trainer categories
  • ​Listing in both Doula and Trainer directories
Corporations and Organizations
Open to corporations and organizations that wish to contribute to and support the mission of NEDA
$150
  • Listing in the Corporate Directory with corporate logo and one contact person's name and email, plus company phone and website
NEDA does not share its membership list or database. Your information is confidential and intended for NEDA use only.
